Does EMDR work?

Yes! There is over 30 years of research to show how effective EMDR is. It is the fastest and gentlest way to process trauma.

How will I feel after an EMDR intensive?

Some side affects of EMDR are fatigue and emotional sensitivity, sometimes memory recall and vivid dreams. You also may feel more confident, secure and joyful!

Can I do my intensive in person?

Yes! Please email us to find out more. You may also arrange travel to either Arizona or Washington if you live out of state and do an in person intensive.

Why is an intensive cost so much?

An intensive is an investment for your mental health and the health of your body. A two day intensive is the equivalent of 3 months of weekly therapy. Your therapist has spent years training to have the knowledge needed to support your healing.

Do I need to already be in therapy to participate in an intensive?

No. You do not have to be in therapy to complete an intensive. An intensive is a great way to do a lot of therapy without having to meet weekly with a therapist.

Will an intensive help with chronic health?

Yes! Our clinicians specialize in healing the brain and the body and an intensive can increase your body's own ability to heal.

What will I experience in an EMDR session?

EMDR is an 8 phase therapy, sometimes working with the nervous system to increase emotional stability, and other times targeting specific memories and belief systems with bi-lateral movement. The bi-lateral movement helps the brain move stuck thoughts and memories to a healthier way of thinking.

Can I do therapy online?

All sessions are online, you will need a device like a phone, computer or laptop

How much does it cost?

Sessions are $135/53 minute session. We accept Premera (BCBS) and Kaiser Permanents, Asuris, United & Regence.

I've done therapy before and I still struggle, how is EMDR different?

EMDR therapy is not talk therapy, and works directly with the brain and nervous system. This gets to the core issue and can retrain your body to heal itself again!

How do I know if I should try EMDR?

If you have been in therapy and use the skills learned, but still experience symptoms. You are ready to start feeling all of the emotional spectrum rather than avoiding.

What kind of trauma is EMDR good for?

Sometimes its not “trauma” just a bad experience that is still lingering. Childhood emotional or physical trauma. Adulthood trauma. Chronic pain, without medical answers

Can EMDR help with chronic pain?

YES! EMDR processes medical trauma and chronic pain, reducing pain symptoms for a fuller healthier life.

Can children do emdr therapy?

EMDR therapy can be done with any age group and is a good treatment for a variety of symptoms and diagnosis.

Who is emdr therapy for?

EMDR therapy is for anyone having difficulty in their present day life due to past experiences.

Can emdr therapy be done online?

EMDR is just as effective online, although some individuals prefer in person or may need in person depending on their symptoms.

Is EMDR therapy covered by insurance?

EMDR therapy is an evidenced based treatment (meaning that lots and lots of studies find it to be effective), therefore all insurance companies will cover this treatment.

How many sessions will I need?

This depends on your circumstances, most people begin to feel better after 8-10 sessions.
